The Bryan Area Chamber of Commerce is doing things a little differently this year! We are seeking nominations for the Master of Ceremonies for the Lighting of the Square, taking place immediately following the Santa Arrival Parade on Friday, November 28th, 2025.
This special role is open to individuals of all ages who bring a friendly, positive presence to the community. The Master of Ceremonies will help make the event memorable and engaging, including the exciting responsibility of throwing the switch to light up the Square. It’s a wonderful opportunity to honor someone who inspires others, embodies community spirit, or simply enjoys being part of Bryan’s celebrations.
“Every year, the Lighting of the Square is a highlight for our community,” said Erica Noggle, Executive Director of the Bryan Area Chamber of Commerce. “This year, we’re inviting the community to help us choose someone special to share in the celebration. Someone who truly represents the heart and spirit of Bryan.”
Anyone can submit a nomination, whether it’s for a longtime community member, a young volunteer, or someone whose positive energy is felt throughout the city. In addition to Master of Ceremonies nominations, the Chamber is encouraging the community to get involved in several festive holiday activities. Volunteers are needed to assist with staging, safety, and general event support during the Santa Arrival Parade, and those interested can sign up at https://forms.office.com/r/hMKxx7Tq4A. Lastly, the Chamber is looking for volunteers for the Christmas Decorating Blitz which will be held on November 16th to help decorate Downtown Bryan for the holiday season, with volunteer registration available at https://forms.office.com/r/CfWr29VVUn.
