Weekly Bryan Chamber Buzz |
| The “Buzz” continues to grow, but we are always interested in helping to promote events in Bryan and the surrounding area. If you ever need anything included in the “Buzz”, e-mail Kay at kaybrink@bryanchamber.org . Information should be received at least 2 weeks prior to the event and one week before the publication of the “Buzz.” We write the “Buzz”, it is published each Monday and is written early on Monday morning. We do reserve the right to edit and/or refuse material submitted to the “Buzz.” |

Only a FEW Tickets remain for the Fireworks Reverse Raffle! The Chamber office has almost sold out of the ever popular Fireworks Reverse Raffle Tickets. If interested in purchasing a ticket, contact the office today!!! Tickets are $60 each and allow two people in for dinner. Don't Wait....tickets are almost gone!!
Door Prizes Needed For the Fireworks Reverse Raffle, the Chamber is still looking for a few Door Prizes. If you have a door prize worth $15 or more, please contact our office today. Thanks in advance for your help in this area.
Want to Win a Wii? This week is Your LAST Chance!! Have you played the new Wii game system yet? Have you tried to find the system for sale and had no luck? Now is your chance to win a brand-new-never-used-never-opened Wii System. The Chamber is raffling off this system with ticket chances. The winner will be drawn the night of the Fireworks Reverse Raffle of May 10th. (see above for Fireworks Raffle Ticket information) To purchase tickets for the Wii System raffle, stop by the Chamber office. Tickets are priced as follows: 1 for $1, 3 for $2, 10 for $5 and 25 tickets for $10. Winner need not be present at the Fireworks Raffle. After Friday, no more tickets will be sold except at the Raffle.

Promotions Team of the Chamber to Meet The Promotions Team of the Chamber will be meeting on Wednesday, May 7th, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chamber Office. Anyone with ideas on "branding" the city with a new "tag" line is asked to come or submit your ideas before the 7th. Those interested in serving on this team may attend and are asked to e-mail kaybrink@bryanchamber.org.

C-Bay Request Fountain City Festival & Wms. County Community Theater are looking for shared space to be used for storing flats, props and other materials used in production of shows. A dry and secure location in the city on the ground floor with electrical power would be ideal. Heating is not necessary. Both organizations are non-profits and hold 501c3 status. Donation of space would be grately appreciated and would be acknowledged in their programs. If you can help them out, or if you have any questions, call Angie Schreder at 419-551-1804.

Cornhole Tournament There will be a cornhole tournament held during the Tri-State Rib Smackdown on Saturday, May 24 @ 4 p.m. Registration is from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. that day, or you can pre-register at the DBI office (138 S. Lynn St.) or by e-mail to Mandy Hanna @ dtbryan@cityofbryan.net. Two-man teams are required and cost is $10 / person, 21 and up only. Cash prizes given. "The Many Faces of Bryan" Playing Cards There is only ONE card still available for sponsorship. Have a loved one or member of the community represented on this collectors deck. Please remember DBI is a 501(c)3 organization and all donations are tax deductible as charitable contributions. Call Mandy at 419-636-2247 to reserve the LAST card.

Chair's Needed!! The Chamber and Jubilee Committee is looking for a few interested individuals. The first is a Chair person for the Christian Band Night and the second to be the Chair of the Karaoke Night of the Jubilee. Christian Band Night is June 19th with Karaoke Night June 20th. If you are interested, contact Dan at the Chamber office soon!
